Now, as you can see the principles are simple but I'll be honest achieving them does take some effort. Why?

Because... we're trying to get people to do what we want.

Here's a quick example:

Ever dealt with children? I don't know about you, but just getting my 10 year old son to clean his room when I want requires me to:

Sound like a broken record

» Have the patience of a saint

» Use ninja negotiating skills

» Always have a bag full of bribes within my reach

» Have eyes in the back of my head


And, I dictate where he lives, what he eats and how much money he has in his pocket.

Essentially we’re doing the same thing in business. We're trying to get fellow human beings who have their minds set on other things to pay attention to us and buy something from us – when we want them to.

And, this is where so many business owners fall over.

They don't know how to communicate with their customers. They don't know how to hold their attention. And, they certainly don't know how to make their customers feel good about buying from them. They just don't know what to do. This is when people start jumping up and down and screaming 'impossible, complicated, and business is tough'.

Yeah, for sure business is tougher when you don't know what to do. Luckily, you won't be one of them because you have the opportunity right now, to find out how to get your customers to listen to you and follow you.
